The instrument is a muti-function instrument of UV radiation system and mainly used in fixing DNA on membrane. It can also be used to cut DNA in agarose gel, select Reca multation, partly digest thymine dimmer by restriction endonucleseas, eliminate the PCR contamination by UV sterilization and disposal of polymer by UV.
CHARACTERISTICS
For fixing nucleotides on the membrane, it is only needed several seconds of radiation at 254nm by the UV Fixer. However, the traditional methods need to bake the membrane for 2 hours at 80 by the use of vacuum oven.
UV radiation can improve the hybridization signal by 5-10 times compared to the traditional baking method.
